Kyle: I heard a news story yesterday about a man who sold all of his possessions and started living alone in the forest. He catches and grows all of his food, and he has almost no contact with any other person.

Rachel: I can't imagine living like that. I wonder if he is happy.

Kyle: It's definitely hard to understand, but everybody is different. Maybe, something happened to him that made him want to avoid all people.

Rachel: You might be right. Anyway, can you imagine never seeing your family again? Even thinking about that makes me depressed.

Kyle: I feel the same way as you. I wouldn't mind living alone in the forest for a week, but I can't imagine living alone out there for weeks, months, or years.

Rachel: That's exactly how I feel.
