Carrie: I broke it snowboarding last weekend.
Wendy: That's terrible. How did you break it?
Carrie: I tried to do the hardest course. I was going really fast around a curve, and I wiped out and slid into a tree.
Wendy: That sounds really painful.
Carrie: It hurt so badly that I cried.
Wendy: I would have cried too. How long do you have to wear the cast?
Carrie: The doctor said that I have to wear it for eight weeks.
Wendy: It's going to be hard to work with that cast.
Carrie: I know, but there is nothing I can do about it now. I just need to deal with it.
