Nick: If you think my boss will understand, then you obviously don't know my boss.
Tony: Well then, you need to think up a better excuse. Maybe, you could say your daughter is sick.
Nick: That might work, but I hate using my daughter to lie. I don't know why, but it makes me feel guilty.
Tony: What if you told him that today is your wedding anniversary?
Nick: That's too complicated because I would need to remember it every year.
Tony: What about telling him you have dinner plans with a potential client?
Nick: That's perfect. It will seem like it is business so he won't have a problem with it. Thanks for helping me think up an excuse to get out of work. I owe you big time.
