Bail out

HOW TO USE

Speak as Devin
Speak as Suzy
Devin: I hate working with Jon.

Suzy: Why's that?

Devin: He takes too many risks.

Suzy: Why is that such a bad thing? I thought that taking a risk could be a good thing.

Devin: If it is a smart, calculated risk, then it can be good. But Jon always takes reckless, careless risks.

Suzy: So, what happens when he does that?

Devin: The same thing happens every time. Jon does something careless, it hurts our business, and then the rest of the team has to bail him out.

Suzy: What do you mean ‘bail him out'?

Devin: I mean we have to rescue him. The rest of the team has to figure out how to fix the problem that Jon created. I can't tell you how many times I've worked overnight because of that.

Suzy: That sounds terrible. Why does he still have a job?

Devin: His father is the vice president of one of our partner companies.
