An Outsider

HOW TO USE

Speak as Megan
Speak as Tony
Megan: What were you like in high school?

Tony: I was kind of an outsider. I didn't have many friends, and I mostly spent my time playing guitar alone.

Megan: I have trouble believing that.

Tony: Why is that?

Megan: Because you are so outgoing and popular now.

Tony: Well, I don't know about being popular. But I did start to become more outgoing when I got to university. I'm not exactly sure why, but I just started to be more confident in myself.

Megan: I'm glad you came out of your shell.

Tony: What does that mean?

Megan: It means that you stopped being shy and afraid like a turtle in its shell.

Tony: Oh, I get it. I like that.
