Carrie: I just found out that I got scammed. I lost all of my savings.
Megan: Are you talking about that housing investment you made last month?
Carrie: That's right. I just learned that the guy was not really a developer. He took me and all the other investors for a ride.
Megan: Do you mean he stole all your money?
Carrie: Yes. He took our money and just disappeared. I haven't been able to contact him for the last two weeks. I went to the police station to report it, and they told me that 5 other people had already reported the same thing.
Megan: Oh my gosh! I feel so bad for you. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help you.
