Megan: I can't stand it. Even when Beth knows that Suzy is wrong, she still sides with her.
Stephen: I can understand why that is annoying to you, but I can also understand why Beth does it. She feels like she needs to be loyal to her best friend. I would do the same for my best friend.
Megan: I suppose you are right, but I still don't like it.
Stephen: Does Suzy always side with Beth, too?
Megan: Well, Beth is so quiet, so there has never been a situation when Suzy has had to side with Beth. Beth usually just stays quiet and follows Suzy.
Stephen: I see. Well, I guess you just need to convince Suzy to do what you want.
Megan: I'll try, but that is not going to be easy.
